Viento
Through testimonies shared by Andean women about the wind, we aim to create a piece that centers the wind in metaphor, exploring its flows, changes, and pressures. We investigate the impact its passage has on the lives of those who, like the wind, swiftly navigate through the challenges of environmental crises and social pressures. We envision the wind as a toolbox of lessons learned in response to the climate crisis we currently face. Rather than specifying solutions, our goal is to challenge human migration by raising open-ended questions that don't necessarily require answers. The wind becomes the focal point as a subject of movement, a companion of migration, an interlude of nostalgia where the mourning of migration and the joy of movement intersect, finding solace in the possibility of remembering through the wind.
